Top FAQs: Using the Sharp TM-20

What should I do if my TM-20's memory is full?

If the stored data in the unit reaches 384K, it stops receiving messages. Upon reaching the memory limit, a system message from the PocketMail Service will appear in your INBOX after a PocketMail communications session to alert you. Good memory management will prevent this.

Here are some ways you can conserve memory:
  • Use the Message Title Preview Feature
  • Delete Messages from your INBOX or OUTBOX on a regular basis or delete unnecessary data from your MEMO or SCHEDULE applications.
  • Use the ALLOW/BLOCK Mail feature

How do I deactivate the demo mode on my Sharp TM-20?

If your Sharp TM-20 is displaying the in-store demo show on screen, the following steps will return your TM-20 to normal use:
  1. Select the option "PASSWORD", in the right side of the screen
  2. Move your cursor down to the "Demo Mode" option
  3. Select "OFF" in the right side of your screen
  4. Press "DONE" to save changes
The "Demo Mode" should not longer be displayed when you turn your device on. If you continue to have the "Demo" appear when you turn the device on, please contact Customer Service for further assistance.
