PocketMail Posts Maiden Net Profit of $787K for Half Year to 31 December 2003

Sydney, Thursday 26 February 2004 - PocketMail Group Limited (ASX: PKT), a leading provider of value-priced world-wide mobile e-mail services, today reported a maiden net profit of $787K for the half year ended 31 December 2003.

The company has also continued to improve its balance sheet reducing total liabilities by $940K.

Comments

Chief Executive, David Marchant said, "we are very pleased to post a maiden net profit for our first half. This has been delivered against the backdrop of a significant decline in the US dollar, in which we earn over 90% of our revenues."

"During the period, we have continued to add to our North American distribution, bringing on board retailers like RadioShack Canada and mobile electronic specialist, Interstate Connections, as well as major distributors like Coast Distribution. We also contracted with the US government for the use of our technology," said David Marchant.

"Future growth in profitability will now be determined by our success in growing our subscriber base, product sales and licensing revenues. We continue to make steady progress throughout the business. Our goal now is sustainable and increased profitability through revenue growth," added Marchant
